Charles N. Insler is an accomplished writer who helps spearhead the firm’s appellate practice. He has briefed more than 15 appeals over the last five years, culminating in recent victories before the Illinois Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Mr. Insler’s appellate practice covers a variety of procedural and substantive legal issues and has reached all five Appellate Districts in Illinois, all three Appellate Districts in Missouri, as well as the Illinois Supreme Court, the Missouri Supreme Court, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits. He is frequently asked to handle appeals for cases he did not handle at the trial level.

Charles Insler has accepted the invitation to become a Fellow in the prestigious Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), a diverse trial lawyer honorary society.

Membership in LCA is limited to 3,500 Fellows, which represents less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Its members have been vetted for their effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, as well as their ethical reputation. In addition to recognition of members’ accomplishments, LCA publishes scholarly research, promotes ethical standards in the practice of law, and supports diversity in all aspects of the legal profession and justice systems of the United States and Canada.

A partner in the firm’s St. Louis office, Insler is an accomplished writer who helps spearhead the firm’s appellate practice. He also concentrates on complex commercial litigation, which can involve cases touching on antitrust and unfair competition matters, business torts, class actions, intellectual property disputes, securities law, and cybersecurity. In addition, he has experience representing clients in insurance matters and has defended employers against discrimination claims. He is currently a member of the ABA’s Forum on Communications Law and speaks and writes regularly on cybersecurity issues. In addition to his Fellowship in LCA, Insler has been named to the list of Best Lawyers in America. He earned his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law and an L.L.M. in Intellectual Property from Washington University School of Law. He also holds a B.A. in History from Princeton University. He is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois, and the District of Columbia and is admitted to the bars of the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
