Bio

For more than 20 years, Jamie M. Rein has provided legal services throughout the Illinois counties of McHenry, Lake, DuPage, and Cook. She often collaborates with in-house counsel, national counsel, insurers and insured, and other company representatives to develop a practical legal strategy to meet her clients’ needs.

Currently, she defends contractors in construction negligence/injury and defect matters. She also handles a variety of legal issues involving commercial and general liability, premises liability, real estate, risk transfer, contract analysis, general business and corporate issues, and governmental matters.

Ms. Rein’s clients commend her thoughtful and creative legal strategies. From the outset of litigation, she works toward efficient and favorable outcomes, whether in the courtroom or in mediation. She has a knack for tackling complex legal issues and developing novel strategies and arguments to effectively move a case to resolution.

Prior to joining HeplerBroom, she was a civil attorney in the McHenry County (Illinois) State’s Attorney’s Office, where she served as legal counsel to the County’s elected officials, department heads, and employees. She provided legal opinions, handled litigation, and provided lectures and trainings on the Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act throughout McHenry County. She also served as Parliamentarian to the McHenry County Board.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and attending her children’s activities and sporting events.
