Overview
John C. Hanson's litigation practice centers largely around the defense of personal injury, commercial and residential property taxation, insurance law, election law, and governmental matters.
He brings the detail-oriented approach of a prosecutor to the solving of complex legal issues for his clients. Prior to joining HeplerBroom, Mr. Hanson served as a Madison County Assistant State’s Attorney, with experience in both civil and criminal matters. During his tenure, he brought a number of criminal prosecution jury trials to verdict. He also provided in-house counsel to the County on matters of governmental law, employment, and litigation.
As an active member of both the Madison County and Alton/Wood River (Illinois) Bar Associations, Mr. Hanson is well known in the Madison County legal community.
