In the article, the authors discuss how the changes made as part of OSHA’s final silica rule affect the general industry/maritime and construction industry, especially in view of the fast approaching June 23, 2017*, and June 23, 2018 compliance deadlines. This change allows OSHA additional time to conduct outreach to the regulated community and to provide more training to compliance officers.)
