HeplerBroom is proud to announce that Tammy Banasek has received the Peggy Cwik Lifetime Achievement Award from the Chicagoland Healthcare Risk Management Society (CHRMS). This award is given to a member who has positive recognition in the healthcare risk management profession and who is known for supporting the profession in interactions with both members and non-members. In addition, the person is considered a role model for other healthcare risk managers and helps promote the importance of the healthcare risk management field.
Banasek, who is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, has been a CHRMS member for more than 15 years. As a litigator, she’s developed a special focus on defending dental and medical professionals, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. She is rated an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named an Illinois Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters. She has also been awarded a Trial Lawyer Excellence Award by Jury Verdict Reporter. Banasek publishes and lectures extensively on issues relating to dental and healthcare litigation and risk management issues.
