After a recent 10-day trial, Bharat Varadachari and Dan Lytle received a favorable jury verdict in a lawsuit filed under the Illinois Wrongful Death Act. The plaintiff asked the jury to award damages between $2.5 and $4 million. The jury limited the plaintiff’s damages to $180,000.
Varadachari, a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office, focuses his practice on trials involving complex business litigation, including matters related to the trucking and transportation industry, personal injury defense, and general insurance defense. He is the immediate Past President of The Lawyers Association of St. Louis and Vice-President of the St. Louis Chapter of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance. He is also a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys as well as Inns of Court, is an executive board member of the St. Louis County Bar Association, and has been named an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.
Lytle, a partner in the firm’s Edwardsville office, also focuses his practice on trials involving complex litigation matters, including personal injury/wrongful death, premises and products liability, insurance, and public utilities. He has been named an Illinois Emerging Lawyer by Illinois Leading Lawyers, a division of Law Bulletin Media.
