Bio

Eric D. Rosser is an experienced litigator who defends clients in toxic tort liability claims in some of the most contentious venues in the United States. His clients range from some of the largest corporations in the country to small municipalities and family-owned businesses.

Clients appreciate his strong work ethic and pragmatic approach to helping them navigate the complexities of multi-party toxic tort litigation. He uses his experience and analytical acumen to help clients implement broad-based litigation strategies. He’s secured successful outcomes using a combination of deposition tactics, the discovery process, motion practice, and settlement.

By identifying legal defenses early in a case, he’s obtained dismissals for clients in numerous jurisdictions. He’s successfully negotiated broad-based settlement packages across multiple jurisdictions, reducing clients’ docket size, global settlement value, and costs. He also understands the financial impact litigation can have on clients, and when practical, utilizes alternative fee agreements to obtain results in the most cost-effective manner possible.

Rosser started in the firm’s Edwardsville office in 2003. In 2017, he moved to the Chicago office to manage the firm’s Cook County asbestos docket.

When not defending clients, he enjoys spending time with his teenage son, coaching youth sports, and—when time permits—going to the mountains. He hopes to see the Chicago Bears win a Super Bowl in the near future.
