Anne Oldenburg has been named the recipient of a 2023 Medical Professional Liability (MPL) Association’s Industry Defender Award. The award was established to recognize defense attorneys for outstanding lifelong contributions to supporting medical liability insurers and defending physicians, dentists, hospitals, clinics, and other health professionals and institutions. Oldenburg was nominated for the award by the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons National Insurance Company. Her award will be presented at the MPL Association Conference in New Orleans on May 18.
Oldenburg, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses her practice on the defense of medical and dental malpractice and nursing home matters, as well as representing professionals before licensing boards. She has received numerous other honors in her career, including the Defense Star and Continuing Excellence Awards from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons National Insurance Company, the Trial Lawyer Excellence Award for Outstanding Defense Verdict in Dental Malpractice from Jury Verdict Reporter, and the Outstanding Service Award from Fortress Insurance Company. She has also been named to numerous lists of top-rated lawyers, including Best Lawyers in America, Illinois Leading Lawyers, Illinois Super Lawyers, and Top 50 Female Lawyers in Illinois. Oldenburg is rated an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.
