Michael Murphy has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Chemical Industry Council of Illinois (CICI). The Council’s mission includes inspiring and encouraging students’ interest in chemistry and the sciences. It also serves as the unified voice to help member companies develop products and applications that are vital to our modern world and ensure public policies and programs are beneficial to Illinois' citizens. HeplerBroom is an Associate Member of CICI.

Murphy, a partner in the firm’s Springfield office, is an experienced litigator who defends clients in state-initiated enforcement actions and citizen lawsuits claiming injuries from environmental contamination. He has been named an Illinois Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section Council.
