Earlier this summer, Alec Messina and Melissa Brown attended Illinois Industry Day. At this meeting, leaders from both the U.S. and Illinois Environmental Protection Agencies met with representatives from a variety of industries to discuss environmental issues that are critical to businesses across the state.
Both Messina and Brown are partners in the firm’s Springfield office and are part of its Environmental practice team. Messina also spearheads the firm’s Government Affairs practice group. In addition, he currently serves as the Executive Director of the Illinois Chamber’s Energy Council. Brown assists clients with permitting, regulatory compliance, and litigation in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. She has been named to Best Lawyers’ list of Ones to Watch.
