
HeplerBroom is proud to announce that Kathleen Hamilton has been appointed to serve as a Judge for the Missouri Court of Appeals – Eastern District by Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe. She was among three nominees submitted by the state Appellate Judicial Commission.
Hamilton, a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office, has focused her practice on general trial and appellate litigation. Respect for others and the judicial process has guided her interactions with the courts, colleagues, and clients, who have ranged from individuals defending or pursuing personal injury, contract, or professional malpractice claims to corporations involved in complex disputes, including product liability to catastrophic trucking litigation.
In 2021 she was appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court to the Joint Commission on Women in the Profession. Hamilton has been named to the list of Best Lawyers in America. She earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and holds a B.A. in History and English from the University of Notre Dame. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri and is admitted to the bars of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Illinois and the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri.
