Chicago Office Donates to Local Charities
Who knew that earning the right to throw a pie in a colleague’s face could be the pathway to helping those in need?
That’s what happened recently in the firm’s Chicago office. The office was divided into three teams, who then waged a Penny Wars campaign. (This is a popular fundraiser where teams compete to fill their own jars with the most coins while sabotaging their rivals by adding bills to their rivals’ jars.) The Chicago team with the least number of points sacrificed their team captain to the Pie Executioner, who was determined by a silent auction.
Through their efforts, the teams raised nearly $1,200, which was donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Project K9 Hero (an organization that provides assistance to the working dogs of our nation’s police and military forces).
(So you're not left wondering about the outcome, here’s Pie Executioner Isaac Melton “executing” fellow attorney Eric Moch.)
