Attorneys representing senior living and long-term care facilities and providers must navigate ever-evolving medical, regulatory, and litigation challenges in an increasingly complex legal environment. Confronting these challenges and providing new information and strategies is a goal of DRI’s 2026 Senior Living and Long-Term Care Litigation Seminar.
As Vice Chair of the conference, LaDonna Boeckman helped shape a program designed to address those issues. One such topic, which was also requested by participants, delves into strategies for employment issues that arise in the senior living setting. Tara Kuchar, a partner in the firm’s Edwardsville office who handles both medical negligence matters and employment issues, will present on practical strategies for addressing difficult situations that can arise in litigant involving former employees.

Boeckman, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, works with medical professionals and others in the healthcare industry to make the complex simple and understandable for both clients and juries. Clients who have worked with her appreciate the time and attention she spends preparing them to testify both at deposition and at trial. She is the recipient of a Jury Verdict Reporter Trial Lawyer Excellence Award for an outstanding defense verdict in a dental malpractice matter.
Kuchar, a partner in the firm’s Edwardsville office, maintains a diverse law practice that includes defending nursing homes and assisted living facilities, premises owners and manufacturers in products liability claims, and employers in wrongful conduct allegations. She also counsels businesses on other employment-related issues.
