Summer Associate Program
Looking for real-world legal experience between your 2nd and 3rd years of law school?
HeplerBroom’s Summer Associate Program is typically a 12-week experience introducing select law students to our practice, business model, and firm culture. Participants gain working knowledge of our firm, clients, and expectations while we evaluate them for associate attorney positions. We currently offer positions in St. Louis, Chicago, Edwardsville, and Springfield.
Substantive Legal Experience
Rotate through practice areas, attend trials and hearings, draft motions and briefs.
Attorney Mentors
Assigned mentor provides guidance, support, and insight into firm operations.
Performance Evaluations
Formal evaluations after each rotation plus ongoing informal feedback.
Social Activities
Networking events, pro bono opportunities, and informal gatherings.
