Partners Rick Hammond, Eric Moch, and Michael Young are scheduled to be the featured speakers at a Farm Bureau Special Investigations Unit seminar on August 16. The event is being held in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Hammond will discuss best practices for documenting claims files to protect the insurer from bad faith exposure, as well as investigative tactics that cause insurers to have litigation exposure. Moch will discuss emerging trends in organized medical fraud and strategies for combatting them. Young will provide an overview of cyber liability, including spotting issues, relevant insurance clauses, and possible policy exclusions.
All three attorneys focus their practices on insurance law. Hammond, of the firm’s Chicago office, frequently serves as an expert witness on insurance law, bad faith, and coverage issues. Moch, who is also in the firm’s Chicago office, previously served in insurance claims roles and was a founding member of a Special Investigation Unit for an international insurer. Young, who is in the firm’s
St. Louis office, has a primary emphasis on bad faith and insurance coverage issues. Each of the partners has been named to various national and regional lists of outstanding attorneys.
