Insurance is often a company’s first line of defense against risk, yet many in-house attorneys encounter coverage issues only after a claim arises. HeplerBroom attorneys Eric Moch, Stephanie Weiner, and Joe Fay will help attendees at the Association of Corporate Counsel’s (ACC) Sept. 15 Chicago Summit develop a strong foundation in insurance coverage and risk management.
During the program, attendees will gain a practical overview of commercial insurance programs, including common policy types, primary and excess coverage structures, claims-made versus occurrence policies, deductibles and self-insured retentions, and how to evaluate certificates of insurance. Fay focuses his practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, as well as high exposure personal injury and property damage litigation. He has been named a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers and is admitted to the bars of the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
