Murphy Appointed to Leadership Position in State Bar Association
Michael Murphy has been appointed Vice-Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section Council. Part of the Council’s mission is to educate non-environmental lawyers and members of the public on environmental law matters affecting their work, their clients, and their lives.
Murphy, a partner in the firm’s Springfield office, focuses his practice on environmental law. He is an experienced litigator who defends clients in state-initiated enforcement actions and citizen lawsuits claiming injuries from environmental contamination. He has been named an Illinois Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters. In addition to his new ISBA position, he is on the Board of Directors of the Chemical Industry Council of Illinois.
