HeplerBroom Announces Four New Partners
Melissa Brown, Timothy Collins, Brendhan Flynn, and Sean Sheehan have been named partners of HeplerBroom LLC. Individually and collectively, these new partners have decades of experience and proven track records of providing excellent legal and litigation success for HeplerBroom’s clients in a range of practice areas.
Brown focuses her practice on environmental law. She is skilled in assisting clients with permitting, regulatory compliance, and litigation in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. She has been named to Best Lawyers’ list of Ones to Watch. Brown earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, graduating cum laude. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and is admitted to the bar of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
Collins focuses his practice on commercial and insurance coverage litigation, with an emphasis on creditor’s rights, real property and business disputes, and general corporate matters. In addition to his litigation background, Collins advises clients on estate planning matters, residential and commercial real estate transactions, and matters of corporate structuring and business formation. Collins obtained his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School (n/k/a UIC John Marshall Law School). He also holds a B.A. in History from the University of Illinois. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and is admitted to the bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Flynn is a litigation attorney with a primary emphasis on insurance coverage, professional liability defense, and professional ethics. He earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in 2005, graduating magna cum laude. He also holds a B.A. in History from Earlham College. While in law school, he was Articles Editor of the Indiana Law Journal and was a member of the Order of the Coif. Flynn is licensed to practice in Missouri and is admitted to the bars of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Indiana.
Sheehan focuses his practice on the defense of asbestos, product liability, and toxic tort matters. He also provides pro bono legal assistance to the Madison County Legal Self-Help Center. Sheehan earned his J.D., an M.B.A., and a B.S.B.A. in Finance from St. Louis University. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri and is admitted to the bars of the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Missouri.
