RESOURCE ALLOCATION
- Governor Holcomb announced in his briefings this week that businesses that are reopening and need personal protective equipment (“PPE”) should expect help obtaining PPE beginning Wednesday. A marketplace run by the state will accept orders from small businesses and nonprofit organizations. They are hoping to fulfill about 10,000 orders each week, with the first set of orders being delivered on Friday. Those that qualify for this assistance include businesses and nonprofit organizations registered to do business in the state, those employing less than 150 people, and any organization required to have PPE to reopen. While state officials are working to help supply these resources at no cost, businesses are asked to use the marketplace only as a backup.
- In an effort to test at least 100,000 people each month, on Monday Indiana officials announced a new website to help residents of the state find testing sites. The website contains locations, hours, and testing criteria for each site.
