HB Elects 3 New Partners
Tammera Banasek, Elizabeth Kellett, and Susan Wagener have been elected partners of HeplerBroom LLC. Banasek and Wagener practice in the firm’s Chicago office, and Kellett is based in the Edwardsville office.
Ms. Banasek concentrates her law practice on the litigation of professional and general liability cases, with an emphasis on the defense of complex medical, dental, and nursing home issues. She also has experience with product liability and AIDS litigation defense and regularly speaks and publishes in the areas of medical and dental malpractice. She is licensed to practice in the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Banasek received her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in 1993.
Ms. Kellett is a litigation attorney with a primary emphasis in the defense of complex, multi-party civil cases and class actions, including all aspects of consumer fraud, personal injury, and product liability (particularly pharmaceuticals and medical devices). Prior to joining HeplerBroom, Ms. Kellett practiced law in Washington, D.C. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri as well as the United States Districts Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois. Kellett received her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006.
Ms. Wagener focuses her practice on the defense of medical malpractice, nursing home litigation, personal injury, and health care professional licensure cases. She is also experienced in insurance defense litigation. In addition to her active trial practice, she regularly presents and publishes on topics related to malpractice risk management and defense of disciplinary matters. Prior to becoming an attorney, she was a registered nurse, specializing in orthopedic and medical-surgical nursing care. She is licensed to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois. Wagener received her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 1985.
