Varadachari and McGonigle Receive Substantially Reduced Award in Jury Trial

Bharat Varadachari and Adam McGonigle recently received a favorable verdict for their client in a rear-end collision case in St. Louis County in which Plaintiff alleged a substantial head injury with permanent repercussions. Plaintiff had asked the jury for $5 million. After deliberating over five hours, the 9-3 verdict from the jury awarded the Plaintiff $125,000.

Both attorneys are with HeplerBroom’s St. Louis office and practice throughout Missouri and Illinois. Varadachari, a partner, focuses his practice on the defense of personal injury claims in the trucking and transportation industry. He has been named an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and is a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys and Inns of Court. He is also currently Vice-President of the St. Louis Chapter of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance, is a past president of The Lawyers Association of St. Louis, and is President-Elect of the St. Louis County Bar Association.

In addition to defending insurance and trucking and transportation matters. McGonigle, an associate, has extensive experience with asbestos litigation, as well as products and premises liability issues. He has been named to Best Lawyer’s list of “Ones to Watch.”
