Chicago Adds Associate Attorney

Chelsea L. Caldwell has joined the Chicago office as an associate attorney. Caldwell focuses her practice on the defense of medical and dental malpractice, nursing home, and professional liability matters. She has extensive litigation and trial experience, including first and second chair verdicts in Cook and its collar counties. She has been selected to the list of National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40 and named an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star.

Prior to joining HeplerBroom, Caldwell practiced plaintiff’s personal injury law, representing individuals in a wide range of cases. She previously served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Gwenn Rinkenberger of the Porter County Juvenile Court, a Certified Legal Intern at Valparaiso’s Civil Clinic, and a Law Clerk for the Federal Civil Rights Litigation Division of the City of Chicago’s Department of Law.

Caldwell is licensed to practice in Illinois and is admitted to the bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She earned her J.D. from Valparaiso University Law, graduating cum laude. She also holds a B.A. in English from the University of Illinois. While in law school, she was in the Honors Programs and was Chairperson and Coach for the Trial Advocacy Team. She was also a Dean’s Fellow and an Honors Research Fellow.
