Hamilton and Magee Secure Defense Verdict for Legal Malpractice Client
The jury in a St. Louis County trial returned a unanimous verdict in favor of Kathleen Hamilton and Thomas Magee’s client in a legal malpractice case.
The case had its roots in a complicated family business dispute dating back to 2014. Hamilton and Magee’s client was retained in February 2015 to explore reorganization and a possible filing for bankruptcy. The plaintiff later filed a legal malpractice claim against HeplerBroom’s client, and summary judgment was granted but later reversed on appeal. At the subsequent trial, the jury took less than an hour to find in favor of HeplerBroom’s client.
