Davis and Insler Secure Securities Arbitration Award for Clients
Glenn Davis and Charles Insler recently secured a FINRA arbitration award against a major national brokerage firm and its registered representative on behalf of the heirs of an elderly client who had suffered from dementia. The hard-fought case revolved around the sale of the elderly client’s entire position in a long-held stock, which generated significant unnecessary capital gains. The arbitration panel awarded the heirs substantial monetary damages, attorneys’ fees, refund of non-refundable filing fees, and all hearing fees in the multi-week arbitration. In addition, the panel declined to order expungement of the matter from the broker’s disciplinary record.
