Brown and Murphy Publish Article in State Bar Environmental Newsletter

An article by Melissa Brown and Mike Murphy is the featured article in a recent edition of Environmental Law, the newsletter of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Section on Environmental Law. The article analyzes the recent U.S. Supreme Court case West Virginia v. EPA and offers insights into how courts might interpret environmental statutes and regulations going forward. The full article is available here.

Both Murphy and Brown focus their practices on environmental law and are based in the firm’s Springfield office. Brown is skilled in assisting clients with permitting, regulatory compliance, and litigation in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. She has been named to Best Lawyers’ list of Ones to Watch. Murphy, a partner, is an experienced litigator who defends clients in state-initiated enforcement actions and citizen lawsuits claiming injuries from environmental contamination.
