Moch Discusses Organized Insurance Fraud in Slip-and-Fall Claims

In his recent “Law Update” column for SIU Today, Eric Moch examines well-planned and executed insurance fraud schemes through the lens of a recent federal indictment for fraudulent trip-and-fall injury claims. Moch discusses how the alleged operation worked, and offered a caveat to special investigation unit professionals and defense counsel on the importance of training in weeding out these cases of organized insurance fraud. The full article is available here.

Moch, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses his practice on organized insurance fraud as well as first- and third-party coverage and bad faith defense. He has been named to the lists of Illinois Super Lawyers and Illinois Leading Lawyers, is a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators, and is a Past President of the Society’s Illinois chapter. Moch is a regular columnist for SIU Today (IASIU’s professional journal).
