Curtis Publishes Article on Covid-19 Business Interruption Litigation in Indiana

Justin Curtis has recently published an article for Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana examining recent federal and state court decisions on COVID-19 business interruption litigation. In the article, Curtis discusses background on the types of claims filed nationwide and the basis on which insurance companies generally deny the claims. He then analyzes recent Indiana court decisions upholding insurance companies’ denials and draws conclusions about future Indiana court decisions in similar cases. The full article is available here.

Curtis, a partner in the firm’s Hammond, Indiana, office, focuses his legal practice on the defense of insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. He is past chair of the Insurance Coverage Section of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and frequently speaks and writes about insurance matters for state and national organizations.
