Insurance Investigators Journal Features Five HeplerBroom Attorneys

The Fall 2016 issue of NSPII News, a publication of the Society of Professional Insurance Investigators, featured articles by three HeplerBroom partners and two associates.

Aleen Tiffany and Stephanie Weiner (a partner and associate, respectively, in HB’s Crystal Lake office) discussed the ramifications of Illinois’ newly enacted anti-indemnity legislation regarding snow and ice removal contracts. Edwardsville Associate Alex Belotserkovsky reported on three decisions from Illinois’ First District Appellate Court involving estoppel, the Moorman doctrine, and duty to defend, and Jennifer Martin, a partner in the Springfield office, detailed a ruling by Illinois’ Fifth District Appellate Court that clarified and expanded on the scope of discovery in first party insurance litigation. The Fall Issue also included a regular update from Illinois Chapter President Erich Moch, a partner in the Chicago office.
