Susan Wagener will be the keynote speaker at the Midwest Conference of Illinois’ Society for Advance Practice Nursing. Wagener will discuss malpractice risk management and defending disciplinary matters, using illustrations from pertinent case studies. Wagener, an attorney of counsel for the firm’s Chicago office, focuses her practice on health care professional licensure cases, medical malpractice, nursing home litigation, and general healthcare law matters. She regularly presents and publishes on topics related to malpractice risk management and defense of disciplinary matters. Prior to becoming an attorney, she was a registered nurse, specializing in orthopedic and medical-surgical nursing care.
