HeplerBroom attorneys Tara Kuchar, Tom Wilson, and Julietta Kosiba are conducting a half-day training for workplace supervisors. The training is sponsored by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and will help supervisors build essential skills needed to prevent or mitigate employment-related lawsuits. Topics to be covered include:

  • updating attendees on new laws and judicial opinions impacting Illinois employers and employees, including discussion of potential amendments to existing laws that may impact employers
  • delving into anti-discrimination and anti-harassment training (including consideration of bullying and bystander issues)
  • discussing key legal implications in common activities such as hiring, accommodations (including those for pregnancy, disability, and religious practices), and termination
  • assisting attendees in how to best manage issues as they arise (including workplace investigations)

Continuing education credits are available to human resource professionals and attorneys.
