Burkett to Speak on Jury Selection at National Defense Attorney Seminar
Whitney Burkett will be one of the featured speakers at DRI’s 2025 Medical Liability and Health Care Law Seminar. Burkett, along with Elizabth Walker of Berkshire Hathaway and Melissa Loberg of Loberg Litigation Consulting, will discuss ideas on how to anchor a jury around reasonable, non-nuclear numbers from the start of the trial process, even before a witness is called. Burkett, an associate attorney in the firm’s Chicago office, has a history of being a tenacious advocate for her clients. She’s worked in multiple jurisdictions nationwide defending healthcare and other clients in catastrophic injury litigation. She’s admitted to the bars of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois.
