Reda Speaking at Annual DRI Meeting
Michael Reda, a partner in the firm practicing in the St. Louis, Missouri, and Edwardsville (Madison County) Illinois, offices, will be one of the featured speakers at DRI’s annual meeting, which is being held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Chicago from Oct. 4 through Oct. 8. Reda will discuss emerging attempts to impose a higher standard of care on commercial truck drivers. He will present an overview of pertinent decisions from around the country, then outline a number of defense tactics attorneys can use to combat this trend, including challenging plaintiffs’ experts, arguments for motions in limine, and grounds for attacking overly broad and improper jury instructions.
Reda has over 35 years of experience in tort litigation. He has tried scores of civil jury trials in state and federal courts, including cases covering catastrophic trucking accidents and transportation litigation. He is a regular contributor to In Transit, the Defense Research Institute’s Trucking Law Committee newsletter.
