Moch and Curtis to Discuss Insurance Claims Medical Investigation Ethics
Eric Moch and Justin Curtis will be discussing the legal and ethical requirements for conducting a medical investigation as part of the claims resolution process. The presentation is part of the 6th Annual Midwest Medical Fraud Symposium presented jointly by the Indiana Chapter of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators and the Office of the Indiana Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Moch, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses his practice on organized insurance fraud, as well as first- and third-party coverage and bad faith defense. He has been named to the lists of Illinois Super Lawyers and Illinois Leading Lawyers and is a Past President of the Illinois chapter of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators. He is currently the regular “Law Update” columnist for SIU Today, the journal of the International Association of Special Investigation Units.
Curtis, a partner in the firm’s Hammond, Indiana, office, focuses his legal practice on the defense of complex civil litigation, insurance coverage, and bad faith litigation. He is past chair of the Insurance Coverage Section of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. He frequently speaks and writes about insurance matters for state and national organizations.
