Odom and Davis Organize and Speak at IDC Seminar on Cybersecurity

Greg Odom is chairing and Glenn Davis will be one of the speakers at the Spring Symposium, the flagship annual event for the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC). The Symposium is being held on April 13, 2018, at the Gleacher Center in Chicago (450 North Cityfront Plaza Drive).

Given the importance cybersecurity plays in our personal and professional lives, the Symposium will address the issue from a variety of viewpoints, including law enforcement, law firms, healthcare providers, insurers, insureds, and state and federal agencies. Topics will include current and emerging cybersecurity threats, protecting a law firm and its clients from cybersecurity threats, responding to cybersecurity breaches, securing confidential medical information from breaches, insurance coverage issues arising from breaches, and ethical issues specific to cybersecurity.

Davis, a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office, will address helping clients respond to cybersecurity threats. He is the Chair of HeplerBroom’s CyberGroup, which provides interdisciplinary services to address information security challenges before, during, and after a cyber intrusion or data breach.

Odom, a partner in the firm’s Edwardsville office, has been responsible for planning the Spring Symposium. He is Chair of the IDC’s Events Committee and a member of the IDC’s Board of Directors.
